DUCY'S HORSE TRAINING

Wendy Jo Ducy has been riding since she was able to get on a horse. She has lived in Colorado for over 23 years. She worked as an emergency technician for 22 years until she decided to retire and go into full time training. She has been showing horses since 1999 and training professionally since 2007. She began her training under Mr. Mike Craig, whom had a large impact on her riding as well as her desire to train horse and rider. She spent 10 years interning under World Champion Reiner, Devin Warren. As Mr. Warren is internationally known for his reining, he is also a prominent trainer of performance horse and rider as well.

Wendy's last time showing as an amateur in 2006 before turning to professional training, was an award winning year. She won Novice Amateur Western Horsemanship Champion at the National Western Stock Show, High Point All Around Novice Amateur Champion Saddle Winner at the APHA State Fair Show and finally Ranked Top 10 at the World Championship Paint Horse Show..

Now Wendy is able to boast about her students winnings. Most recently some of her students winnings include: Overall Champion 13yr & Under and Reserve Overall Champion 13yr & Under at the 2010 APHA State Fair show, High Point English 13yr & Under, High Point Western 14yr - 18yr, Reserve All Around Champion 14yr - 18yr at the Winter Buckle Series (there were over 400 riders through the series), Saddle Winner for Overall Champion at the BFSC along with 5 other buckles and Class Champion for Hunter Under Saddle at the APHA Rendzvous in Denver. All these awards in less than a year. She is proud of her students, boasts their accomplishments and is one of their greatest supporters and fan.

PRICES:

$35 for 1 Hour (price adjusted to age and duration of  lesson)

$650 Per Month for full time Board & Training.

Wendy trains horse and/or rider in  Western and English. Her approach is not one size fits all. She trains beginners to advanced. You will have use of the large indoor arena, outdoor arenas and Trail Course at Latigo. You do not need to own a horse as Wendy has a number of lesson horses available. You and your horse may receive training in the following diciplines:

• Western Pleasure
• Western Horsemanship
• Reining
• Western Riding Control
• Trail
• Hunter Under Saddle
• Hunt Seat Equitation
• Showmanship
• Halter
• Longeline
• Start colts at 2yrs under saddle.
• Full time training will include Daily Exercise as well as Training.
• Age of beginner student will depend on the child. Her youngest student at this time is 4yrs.
